a sweet unrest.

“A THING of beauty is a joy for ever: its loveliness increases; it will never pass into nothingness.”

JOHN KEATS x ENDYMION* (1918)

“bright star” was such a feast for the eyes. i could feel the tears welling up simply out of the sheer beauty of what i saw. drank in the visions of blooming tree tops, fields of wildflowers, butterflies fluttering in the golden afternoon light, love letters written in fresh ink, stolen glances and intimate touches, lovely and familiar moments as if from my own collection of dreams.

my heart swelled a thousand times throughout. it was just what i needed on this sunday night.

after it ended, i stepped outside and conveniently found a stationery shop next door where i purchased my first sheets, envelopes, and letter-writing pen of the year. i hope i can finally put pen to paper this holiday season before it eludes me again, and send out a few notes to a few wonderful people.

*endymion – the shepherd beloved by the moon goddess selene. if you recall, i paid homage to the moon for halloween. perhaps i should start looking for a shepherd boy…

§ One Response to a sweet unrest.

letter writing is such a lost art and it’s perfect to sift through on a lonely rainy day.

too bad it also takes dedication and quiet reflection time that we often don’t allow ourselves to have.
